** Description*
* APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Bench testing, debugging, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry (PLLs, DLLs, Clocks, Data Converters, DDR Memory, and various I/O Interfaces);
Develop benchtop electrical tests exercising on-chip circuitry through a combination of FPGA, JTAG, SPI, and analog interfaces. Draft & Execution of scripts to automate tests, extract results, and generate reports using database and analytical tools. Generate reports for characterization and/or debugging to provide design feedback. In-system PI/SI measurements for correlation with simulation models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, System HW, and SW.

Support ATE and Product Engineering. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,149 - $225,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Circuits and Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

+ Experience and/or education must include:

+ Characterizing and validating high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, OIF, Ethernet).

+ Executing bring-up and validation of Ser Des links across multiple protocols.

+ Performing link margining, eye diagram analysis, and jitter tolerance testing using real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, BERTs, and pattern generators.

+ Developing and maintaining automation scripts for high-volume Ser Des testing to streamline data collection and analysis.

+ Implementing data visualization pipelines to summarize BER, eye height/width, and adaptation results across sweeps and temperature conditions.

+ Building machine learning models to predict BER trends or optimize equalization parameters using lab data.

+ Utilizing experience in Signal integrity and familiar with the Vector network analyzer.

+ Facilitating automation using Python.

+ Implementing Machine learning and AI-based optimization.

+ Performing RTL coding and creating RTL scripts for testing.
