Apple's iCloud SRE team is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of their large-scale content system for iCloud. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Dev Ops, or infrastructure-focused roles, along with proficiency in supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems. Strong coding skills in languages like Java, Golang, or Python are required, as well as experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts, Git Ops, CI/CD tools, configuration management solutions like Puppet or Ansible, and orchestration solutions like Kubernetes are expected. The role involves operating and monitoring production environments, automating deployment processes, collaborating with partner teams, and contributing to capacity planning and disaster recovery efforts. Effective communication, a sense of ownership, and a passion for automation are essential.
The base pay for this position ranges from $170,700 to $300,200, with additional benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, stock options, and educational reimbursement.
