Senior Solutions Architect, Strategic Accounts

Overview

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you partner with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures using AWS services. You help them solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products or services to market and building elastic, scalable, cost‑optimized applications. You engage with product owners, influence product direction, tap customers into new markets, and look for patterns that can accelerate innovation.

You will drive revenue growth across a specific customer, act as a trusted customer advocate, help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud‑based solutions, and guide migrations and scaling of existing workloads to the cloud. You shape and execute strategies that broaden AWS adoption and collaborate with services teams, marketing, professional services, and executive management to support customers’ technology decisions.

• 8+ years of experience in technology domain areas (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Knowledge of existing and evolving cloud computing technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or 12+ years of related work experience

• 7+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications
• 5+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Strong presentation and whiteboarding skills, comfortable speaking with executives, IT management, and developers
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre‑sales, or consulting
• Professional experience architecting, operating cloud‑based solutions
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
