Spanish (Spain) Localization QA Tester / Proofreader

Welocalize is seeking a Spanish (Spain) Localization QA Tester / Proofreader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy combining linguistic expertise with technology and quality assurance.

In this role, you will evaluate localized content across web, mobile, and software applications, ensuring that translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and meet the highest quality standards. You will execute test cases, identify and document localization issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and verify bug fixes throughout the testing lifecycle.

This is a long-term, hybrid opportunity with no predetermined end date, ideal for candidates looking to build a career in localization, language quality, and software testing.

Requirements:

• Native-level proficiency in Spanish (from Spain), including excellent grammar, vocabulary, spelling, composition, and punctuation skills
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in translation, localization, proofreading, copy editing, or related language-focused work
• Strong technical aptitude and confidence working with web-based applications and software platforms
• Experience testing applications on macOS and iOS devices
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and evaluate linguistic and localization issues
• Experience working with test cases, test scripts, and structured testing processes
• Familiarity with bug tracking and issue management systems
• Ability to clearly document issues, reproduction steps, and recommended resolutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within diverse, global teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to attend occasionally at our Cupertino, California office on an as-needed basis to meet business requirements

Location:

Cupertino, California - This role is 90% remote. When necessary to meet business needs, attendance at our office is required.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• 35 hours per week

Work Authorization:

• Must possess valid authorization to work in the United States

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $28.00 per hour
