Position: People Technology Total Rewards Leader

Cupertino, California, United States Corporate Functions

Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better.

It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. The People Technology team is looking for an experienced leader to drive optimization across our Total Rewards technology ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday and related platforms supporting Compensation, Benefits, Mobility, Immigration, and M&A functions and will be comfortable working in a very fast‑paced, hands‑on environment. This role requires deep HR technology and process expertise, as well as a forward‑looking perspective on how agentic AI solutions can transform the employee and administrator experience.

Description

As a Total Rewards Technology Product Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and implementation of solutions across Apple's technology platforms for Total Rewards. Collaborating closely with business partners and engineering teams, you will lead a team that defines requirements, designs product solutions, and coordinates the execution and delivery of initiatives that enhance the Apple employee experience, streamline Total Rewards processes, and support strategic goals.

This individual uses their extensive knowledge of the products and the Total Rewards functions to drive roadmaps and helps to set vision and strategy to drive continual improvement and value — including identifying and scaling agentic AI capabilities that unlock new levels of efficiency and personalization.

Responsibilities
  • Work across the People organization and with other members of the People Technology team to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Total Rewards technology platforms — spanning Compensation, Benefits, Mobility, and Immigration — aligning with strategic People team goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team that collaborates with partners, including business leaders and end-users to gather and understand their requirements and intended outcomes across Total Rewards domains.
  • Translate complex Total Rewards business needs into scalable product solutions that serve a global, diverse workforce.
  • Deep understanding of reporting needs specific to compensation cycles, benefits processes, global mobility assignments, and immigration needs.
  • Partner with IS&T technology teams to deliver solutions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and drive the adoption of agentic AI solutions that automate and intelligently orchestrate Total Rewards workflows ensuring solutions are responsible and compliant with global regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a prioritized backlog of features, enhancements, and fixes based on business value and urgency across all Total Rewards product areas.
  • Draft requirements, acceptance criteria, testing strategy, and release plans for both traditional and AI‑augmented solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to help identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
  • Influence decisions and facilitate change management through collaboration and leadership, particularly when introducing AI‑enabled capabilities that shift how work gets done.
  • Maintain a consistent level of engagement and effective communication with partners and key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years delivering global, enterprise technology solutions at scale, including 5+ years leading and managing product or technology teams through complex, ambiguous initiatives.
