Senior Solutions Architect, Strategic Accounts

As an AWS Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you partner with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures using AWS services. You help customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to market, building elastic, scalable, cost‑optimized applications, and migrating and scaling existing workloads to the cloud. You engage product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS services.

You identify patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across industry segments to accelerate innovation.

You will be a core member of the account team, driving revenue growth across specific customers. As a trusted advocate you will shape and execute a strategy to build AWS knowledge and use across our customers, and you will communicate with other internal teams and executive management.

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies related to cloud computing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR 12+ years of related work experience.

• 7+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed application environments.
• 5+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Strong presentation and white‑boarding skills and ability to speak comfortably with executives, IT managers, and developers.
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre‑sales, or consulting.
• Professional experience architecting and operating cloud‑based solutions.
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or equivalent cloud expertise.

The base salary range for this position is  –  USD annually (USA, CA, San Francisco).
