The Expansion PM role sits within the Globalization & Creative Production org in Services Operations. Apple Services comprises several media products and customer subscription services in more than 175 markets around the world—and growing! The Operations team is focused on relentlessly delivering great content and expert quality at a global scale.

Services Operations is seeking an outstanding cross-functional project manager, in a new role focused on driving expansion initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of strategically significant projects to drive business growth and enrich customer experience—working extensively with cross-functional teams across Apple. Key projects will be global in nature, multiyear, and span Apple’s many services from Apple Music to App Store.

We are looking for an influencer and organizer who thrives in an environment of complexity and excels at connecting strategy to execution across multiple partners and organizational levels.

Description

In this role, you will manage and drive the planning and execution of large, complex, and strategically significant cross-functional initiatives, primarily focused on expansion programs with multiyear roadmaps. Your key partners will include many teams across various functions in each line of business, platform & product engineering, AI/ML strategy and development, content operations, finance, legal, compliance, design, product management, localization and various other teams within Services Ops.

You must thoroughly understand Services’ expansion strategy and customer experience goals, engaging in conceptualization by coordinating across teams to build a business case, and shaping their execution across every aspect of a project. As roadmaps and technology evolves, you will stay across critical details that accelerate or impact deliverables—and adapt the plan-of-record accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and sustain senior leadership engagement and alignment, facilitating key decision-making related to overall project scope, ROI, and the operational dependencies of a project—ensuring these elements ladder back to the customer experience and program goals. Additionally, you’ll keep all stakeholders aligned and provide continuous status, delivery, and risk reporting to project partners and senior leadership at a regular cadence.
  • Act as the center of gravity and key point of contact for your program(s) across all phases, working in partnership with functional DRIs and providing them with additional support to plan for operational implementation as teams prepare for the sustaining phase post-launch.
  • Implement standard methodologies (e.g. for planning, program, project management, working sessions, and reporting) and help drive adoption of these throughout the organization, developing strong collaborative relationships as a trusted advisor for key partner teams to ensure the successful execution of initiatives.
  • Travel to Apple offices around the world may be required for this role.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience driving large-scale global programs with measurable impact, such as successful market launches.
  • Demonstrated experience working with, presenting to, and facilitating complex conversations among functional leaders and senior executives.
  • Expert knowledge of program and project management. Knows the tools (e.g. strategic frameworks, change management, dependency management, risk management, amazing communication) and when to use them, when not to use them, and when it’s time to create new ones.
  • 7+ years experience in a program management role in a customer-centric environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Extraordinary influencer who is great at connecting the dots at the organizational, strategy, program, and project levels.
  • Able to lead, mobilize, and influence teams to deliver without direct authority—keeping all internal stakeholders aligned and informed across all phases of a multiyear program.
