Electrical Engineer IV

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA
. Candidate must have strong technical capability in test‑equipment operations and customer interaction to support engineering service requests.

Rate Range: $87/hour to $89/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Handle test board and equipment setup, tear‑down, maintenance, and data collection to support engineering service requests.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized lab standards while managing logistics and routine equipment tasks.
• Deploy and redeploy automated test boards based on engineering instructions and troubleshoot setup‑related issues.
• Perform electro‑mechanical repairs, wiring checks, and component installations using schematics, BOMs, and drawings.
• Track critical lab metrics, complete inventory and calibration routines, and report issues to supervisors when identified.
• Follow documented procedures, ESD practices, and inspection checklists to ensure accuracy and compliance in all lab activities.

• Candidate must have an associate or bachelor’s degree in a tech‑related major as defined by the client.
• 4+ years of equivalent experience in a lab, customer service in a data‑center environment, or field service technician role.
• Candidate must have the ability to read schematics and set up various cable connectivity types for test equipment and DUT.
• Candidate will understand Unix/Windows, networking with enterprise switches/routers, and capability to solder and rework PCBA components.
