AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You ll join a diverse team of hardware engineers, software engineers, system engineers, technical program managers, and other vital roles. • AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a leader to drive a team to deliver best-in-class hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation and maturation, and eventual deprecation.
• Ensure all core hardware components meet or exceed a high quality bar, ensuring a healthy fleet of EC2 servers.
• Organize and lead a team of hardware development engineers to partner with silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to align with the roadmap.
• Define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership.
• Contribute to enabling AWS to launch next-generation server designs.

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering cloud hardware with primary focus on CPU and memory
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

• Experience partnering with silicon providers and ODMs
• Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-performing applications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
