Role
Purpose:
Lead image and video quality validation across controlled lab and real-world capture conditions, ensuring camera output meets defined quality baselines before release.
- Design and run lab and field image/video quality test campaigns across iPhone, iPad and Mac/Display programmes.
- Configure camera lab environments, lighting conditions, calibration standards and capture workflows.
- Develop and improve automated capture methods to increase repeatability and throughput.
- Analyse quality deviations, compare against acceptance benchmarks and publish concise findings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for defect triage, non-regression testing and closure.
- 11+ years in camera, image quality, video quality, multimedia QA or related validation engineering.
- Strong understanding of capture conditions, calibration, subjective/objective quality review and test repeatability.
- Experience with automated capture systems, lab instrumentation or camera/video test tools.
- Ability to communicate quality findings clearly to engineering and programme stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, lab discipline and confidence handling unreleased devices.
