Position Summary

As the Store Manager I or II, you will have a hands‑on opportunity to develop supervisory experience and skills while managing the overall operations of a low or lower complexity store. You will learn how to drive success, gain expertise, and create and develop great teams. The Store Manager I and II roles require performing all functions normally performed by a store team member and owning your business in driving sales, modeling Purple Promise service, and delivering operational excellence.

General

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand and model Fed Ex Office values to customers and team members.
  • Coach and teach your team and ensure they have the tools and information needed to support company goals and perform their jobs.
  • Work with the supervisor to take guidance, direction, and create solutions for the business, complex customers, host partnerships, and commercial sales.
  • Ensure an exceptional store experience that engages and retains customers and team members and supports the Fed Ex brand experience.
  • Use Fed Ex Office tools and resources to select, train, develop, retain, and performance‑manage your direct reports.
  • Interact with your supervisor to seek guidance, coaching, and direction and to escalate issues and questions as needed for the successful running of your business.
  • Execute all operational and store sales activities to ensure the store exceeds financial and customer experience targets.
  • Accomplish regular daily job duties including accounts receivable, inventory reports, daily sales recaps, and bank deposits.
  • Take active ownership of all store controls including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures, financials, safety, security, scheduling, and compliance with state and federal laws and system management.
  • Utilize Quality Improvement tools to improve the business, share ideas, and continue to innovate.
  • Be flexible with your schedule; work hours will be based on business needs and store operating hours.
  • Perform any other duties as needed or required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • Associate’s degree or some college preferred; high school degree or GED required.
  • 2+ years of related experience (e.g., retail, service, hospitality, military) with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, or for current team members, meet hiring criteria and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
Essential Functions
  • Ability, at times, to work alone in the store.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend or twist at the waist and knees.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or related to other business necessities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the Fed Ex Office business.
Pay

$30.30 - $38.61 per hour
