Summer Winds Nursery is looking to hire a part-time Nursery Associate at our retail store in Cupertino, California. This part-time position earns a competitive wage starting at $19.00/hour. We are a local retailer of garden and nursery products with a history of serving the community for over 50 years. Our garden centers operate in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona and in the Bay area of California. We focus on service and strive to provide a friendly and knowledgeable staff to serious and casual gardeners.

• Provide an exceptional shopping experience for each customer; create an inviting atmosphere and offer assistance to help customers make gardening successes.
• Direct customers to the products they need and carry out purchases when appropriate.
• Perform general retail tasks such as stocking materials, watering plants, answering phones, and keeping the area clean.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel at home in the store and offer help as needed.

• Ability to lift 20+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
• Plant knowledge or gardening experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team; self-starter, dependable, professional, and a team player.

This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with no late evenings. At least one weekend shift is required.
