Overview
The Find My Team deeply cares about helping customers keep track of the things that they care about. We are a group of highly motivated test engineers who build innovative solutions to help drive the quality for the Find My app. We are looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background in iOS development who is a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical, and analytical skills and is passionate about new technologies in automation.
Responsibilities- Develop, drive, and deliver scalable test automation solutions.
- Develop critically important test solutions that directly impact the quality of consumer facing applications.
- Plan, design, write, maintain and perform end-to-end test cases through automation using Swift and Python.
- Drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to ensure features are rock-solid and ready to be released to customers.
- Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques.
- Balance a wide variety of deliverables by managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically.
- Collaborate closely with partners across the company, including SW, HW, Design, Privacy and more.
- Join a team with a deep passion for building phenomenal products.
- 4+ years of experience in Automation.
- Strong Swift/Swift
UI or Objective-C development in test skills. - Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python.
- Comfortable with Unix commands and experience writing shell scripts.
- A strong understanding of unit, integration, and regression test methodologies.
- Experience working with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch etc.).
- Diligent with a proactive approach to potential challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across many participating teams.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with macOS/iOS development in test.
- Experience using Apple's automation framework: XCTest, XCUI.
- Passionate about learning new skills and technologies quickly and independently.
- Proficient in resolving complex failures using advanced debugging techniques.
- Motivated by solving complex challenges.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Self-starter with leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with quality engineering environments and test data pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and design decisions from a quality perspective.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
You’ll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
