On this team, you will be a pivotal technical leader, driving the architectural vision, design, and implementation of core features for our photo and image editing applications. You will take end-to-end ownership, from initial concept and rapid prototyping to delivering robust, high-performance, and maintainable solutions that delight creatives everywhere. To succeed in this role, you must be a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations.

• Architectural Leadership:
  Defining and evolving the technical architecture for complex imaging workflows, ensuring scalability, performance, and future extensibility.
• Feature Innovation:
  Leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge features that leverage Apple's unique hardware and software capabilities, including advanced image processing, computational photography, and machine learning.
• Technical Mentorship & Growth:
  Guiding and mentoring a team of talented engineers, fostering best development practices, and contributing to the growth and culture of the team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partnering closely with design, marketing, photography specialists, and other engineering teams to translate user needs and creative visions into exceptional software experiences.
• Performance Optimization:
  Ensure our applications set the benchmark for speed and efficiency, by expertly optimizing for large-scale image processing and real-time interactions, resulting in an unparalleled user experience.

• 8+ years of professional experience in iOS application development
• Expertise in Apple's core frameworks, particularly Photo Kit, Core Image, Core Graphics, AV Foundation, and Metal.

• Proven experience leading the architecture and development of complex, high-performance media editing applications.
• A deep understanding of modern camera technologies, image formats, color science, and computational photography principles.
• Demonstrated ability to technically lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Experience with large-scale asset management and optimizing for performance with high-resolution media.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
