Sr. ML Infrastructure Engineer

The Apple Special Projects Group is looking for engineers to work on developing scalable machine learning approaches for autonomous systems. In this role, you'll contribute to machine learning approaches using rich data and collaborate with experts in high-performance computing, machine learning, and autonomous system development. You will be involved in every stage of development, from concept to deployment, and work with a team of passionate engineers and researchers.

The qualifications sought include proficiency in ML modeling frameworks, experience in ML model serving, familiarity with GPU computing, strong software engineering skills, experience with cloud data processing technologies, excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team-based environment. Responsibilities include building and integrating large-scale distributed machine learning systems, improving GPU training approaches, developing tools and services for ML systems, architecting end-to-end platforms for MLOps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex data problems  role encourages mentoring and contributions to a culture of effective collaboration, technical excellence, and innovation.

A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science/Machine Learning or equivalent professional experience is required. The base pay for this role ranges from $170,700 to $300,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location, with additional benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, stock options, and educational reimbursement.
