Sr. Software QA Engineer, Siri Speech

The Siri Speech Quality Engineering team seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to build sound and robust quality strategies for Siri Speech, exceed customer expectations, and advocate for critical changes to improve user experience. The role requires deep integration with engineering, program management, and quality engineering teams to craft test plans, conduct functional testing, and represent how products are experienced by our customers.

• Develop test plans, assess risk, file appropriate defects, and provide relevant data for test reporting.
• Identify critical areas to test for new features.
• Triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution.
• Present complex test data and communicate test reports.
• Work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action.

• 3‑5+ years of experience in software test engineering.
• Experience in audio testing, software user‑experience testing, and isolating issues.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills with a diligent mindset.

• Proactive self‑starter with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high‑quality user experiences.
• Experience creatively building comprehensive test plans, evaluating risk, filing detailed bug reports, and communicating results.
• Strong passion for quality assurance in software, including developing, extending, and maintaining test plans and methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally across various facets of the organization and understand technical and interdisciplinary dependencies.
• Some experience using LLMs is preferred.

Base pay range: $141,800 – $258,600, dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
