AIML - Director of Engineering, Siri Device Ecosystem

Responsibility of the role will include (but not limited to):

Provide thought direction to leaders on critical technical decisions, best engineering practices, and testing strategies to ensure consistently high-quality products. Able to have transparent and honest conversations that accurately articulate any current situation but biases for a viable path forward.

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience architecting, designing, and developing software products.
• 8+ years of experience in building, managing, and leading multiple highly skilled teams of engineers, including growing new engineering managers and leading leaders.
• Prior experience delivering customer‑facing software for consumer electronic devices
• Proven ability to grow and guide an engineering organization through productive critique, evangelism, training, learning, and coaching.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience guiding strong results from organizations that span geographic boundaries.
• Strong in Computer Science fundamentals, software engineering principles, and development methodologies.

CS degree or equivalent experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $282,000 and $450,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
