UI and iOS Platform Software Engineer, Safari

We're looking for an engineer to help us shape the future direction of Safari and web browsing on our platforms. Together, we’ll build on the industry‑leading Web Kit engine and Apple's frameworks to deliver a fluid browsing experience and powerful, easy‑to‑use features. Your vision and impact will extend beyond Safari, as you help move Apple's iOS platform forward.

In this role, you will craft new and innovative Safari features and elevate existing ones. You’ll participate in brainstorming, prototyping, coding, debugging, shipping, and addressing customer feedback. Collaboration with the Web Kit team, iOS platform teams, and Apple’s Human Interface group is essential. We seek an imaginative, highly motivated engineer who cares deeply for craft and quality.

• BS in Computer Science or related field, preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience mentoring other engineers
• Expertise in writing fast, efficient software in Swift, Objective‑C, or a C‑family programming language
• Knowledge of UIKit and Swift design patterns
• Expertise in Xcode developer tools, Instruments, and clang

• Experience mentoring other engineers and communicating technical ideas to a variety of audiences
• Creativity and enthusiasm for crafting great user experiences, innovative privacy features, and robust security
• Knowledge of advanced application architectures
• Experience designing APIs for frameworks used by a wide variety of developers

Base pay for this role ranges from $150,400 to $277,600, determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees may also participate in discretionary employee stock programs, purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, or relocation assistance.
