This team believes that software can be used to create beauty and echo a sense of purpose in our lives. We craft fluid, useful, and well‑crafted user interfaces. We collaborate with hardware and software teams to design and implement the necessary software architectures to ship them to billions worldwide. We observe patterns in our designs, build upon them in new environments, and push forward the App windowing experience through fluid interruptible app launch and transition animations, the App Switcher, external display support via Stage Manager, Dynamic Island, seamless pointer support, lightweight multitasking via Picture in Picture, and more.

Our work is built on proven software architectures capable of handling an interactive embedded OS, enabling rapid prototyping and useful abstractions that separate concerns. We also push animation technologies across Apple to empower teams to ship features within the same frame of reference for user‑interactive interfaces.

Base pay ranges from $150,400 to $277,600. Compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees may become shareholders via discretionary stock programs, participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and receive benefits such as comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and free services, and tuition reimbursement for career‑related education.
