The Home Platforms Software Team creates solutions for the home, from building incredible movie-watching experiences to building the Apple ecosystem that allows devices to magically work together to connect loved ones with Face Time, work out with Fitness+, or even let loose and play games with friends. We make software for Apple TV, Home Pod, iPhone, and iPad that allows our customers to enjoy the highest quality of shared experiences Apple devices offer.

The tvOS Communications Experiences team works on code in Face Time, Camera, tvOS, and iOS to bring Face Time and other camera experiences to the big screen using a wirelessly connected iPhone or iPad. Engineers on the tvOS Communications Experiences team work closely with cross-functional teams at Apple to deliver a magical and delightful experience connecting friends and families across the world.

The role is highly rewarding with ample opportunities for growth and connections across the  this role, you will be working on the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad Face Time app as well as the underlying iOS and tvOS systems. You will work with ML models and remain at the forefront of advances in AI technologies to elevate Apple software and experiences for our customers.

You will be responsible for proposing, implementing, and presenting features to move communications and camera experiences forward on Apple TV. You will champions the high bar for quality and consistency of Apple software with a passion for building experiences that bring people together.

• Develop Core Apps:
  Build Face Time and camera experiences across iOS, and tvOS
• Drive Feature Lifecycle:
  Propose, implement, and present new communication features for Apple TV
• Champion Quality:
  Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain Apple's high software quality standards

• Strong at object-oriented programming and design with 3+ years experience
• Aptitude to working on frameworks and APIs with 3+ years experience
• Experience developing on Apple platforms with 3+ years of experience
• Excel at communicating with a diverse team that includes engineers, designers, program managers and evangelists
• Experience in writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
• Experience debugging performance problems, able to root out performance bottle-necks and ship code that was optimized to get the most out of the limited cpu and memory resources available
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Experience integrating with ML models
• Knowledge of agentic architectures
• Experience maintaining existing large codebase

• Aptitude to independently learn new technologies

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
