South Bow is seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented Gauger Technician to support terminal and facility operations by ensuring the safe, reliable, and accurate movement of petroleum products. This role plays a critical part in petroleum quality assurance, inventory accountability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
As a Gauger Technician, you will perform product sampling and laboratory testing, maintain quality records and equipment, monitor facility operations, and support accurate custody transfer documentation. This position combines field work, laboratory activities, and operational coordination in a dynamic environment where safety and precision are paramount.
What You'll Do
- Monitor terminal and facility operations, equipment conditions, tank inventories, and operating parameters to support safe and reliable performance.
- Collect petroleum product samples and conduct laboratory testing to verify product quality specifications.
- Complete, review, and correct sample tickets and related documentation to ensure accurate product accountability and customer transactions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, calibration records, and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct facility inspections, equipment inspections, equipment walkdowns, and operational checks to identify safety, environmental, and maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate reporting, corrective actions, and communication with operations, maintenance, quality, measurement, and third-party stakeholders.
- Support compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Respond to abnormal operating conditions and emergency situations when required.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of related industry, operations, laboratory, measurement, or petroleum handling experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently within defined guidelines.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to operational facilities, as required.
- Experience in petroleum terminal, pipeline, refinery, laboratory, measurement, or related industrial operations.
- Knowledge of petroleum quality testing and sampling practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management and custody transfer documentation.
- Experience working in safety-sensitive environments.

- Continuous attention to operational conditions, product quality, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and respond to operational or emergency events when needed.
Work Schedule
- Rotational Shift Schedule - 7 on/7 off
- Shift coverage as needed
