Mechanical Technician

Plains All American Pipeline seeks a Mechanical Technician to support safe, reliable operation of pipeline and terminal assets. Based in the utilities and energy sector, this role inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains pumps, valves, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems used in crude oil and NGL transportation and storage. Responsibilities include executing preventive and corrective maintenance, assisting with equipment installations and turnarounds, and documenting work in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The technician collaborates with operations and engineering teams in a performance-driven, safety-first environment with strong growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment for pipeline and terminal operations
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, and rotating equipment
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records in CMMS or logs
• Follow and promote strict safety and environmental compliance procedures
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment reliability
• Assist with shutdowns, turnarounds, and planned project work
• Identify and report equipment risks, defects, and improvement opportunities
