This position is for the 2026-27 School Year. Teacher - JROTC Instructor.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe job of Teacher JROTC was established for the purpose(s) of facilitating student success in academic and interpersonal skills through JROTC and District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE& COMPENSATION
This position will be an 11-month employee, and compensation will be calculated using the JROTC Minimum Instructor Pay Formula (MIP).
REQUIREMENTS- Certification by US Army Cadet Command.
- Passing the GACE Literacy Assessment within the first three years.
- DD214 and minimum 10 years of service (or retired) with honorable discharge.
- Serving as JROTC Department Head.
- Planning for annual JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA).
- Adapting classroom work.
- Analyzing data.
- Coordinating activities.
- Counseling students.
- Implementing curriculum.
- Overseeing co-curricular activities.
- Related duties.
