Teacher - SPED Speech/Language Pathology 2026-27 School Year
FLSA:
Exempt-Certified.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Special Education and Building Principal.
- current state teaching certificate in Special Education
- Bachelor's degree
- positive interpersonal and team-building skills
- behavior management skills
- knowledge of Special Education process and laws
- excellent organizational/oral/written/time management/telephone skills
- computer/assistive technology skills
190 Day Contract.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- supervising the special education process from screening through identification and IEP development
- assisting in IDEA implementation
- coordinating programs and procedures
- organizing and ensuring completion of evaluation reports and IEPs
- reviewing IEP documents for compliance
- initiating screening of records
- monitoring evaluations and timelines
- facilitating integration into regular classes
- collaborating with general education teachers
- assisting with research/implementation of programs
- preparing reports
- providing in-service training
- attending meetings/training
- maintaining confidentiality
- performing other duties as assigned
