Payroll Specialist

Securitas Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely payroll for a diverse, multi-state workforce supporting our security and life safety operations. In this role, you will process end-to-end payroll, validate time and attendance data, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will collaborate with HR and Finance, support audits, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end, multi-state payroll on a recurring schedule with high accuracy
• Validate and reconcile time and attendance data, resolving discrepancies promptly
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage, hour, and tax regulations
• Prepare and review payroll reports, journals, and general ledger interfaces
• Support internal and external payroll, tax, and SOX/compliance audits
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with timely, professional support
• Coordinate with HR and Finance on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure data integrity
• Identify and support process improvements and automation opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and growth initiatives
