Position: 8 hours (generally 8:00 A.M.
-4:00 P.M.); 235 Days/Year; 11 Months/Year; 1880 Hours/Year. Salary and Benefits as per MESA Negotiated Agreement
Start Date: 2026/2027 School Year
Reports To: Principal
Position SummaryProvides clerical and confidential support to the Principal. Serves as a key point of contact for staff, students and families, ensuring efficient daily operations of the office. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Items outlined are representative but not comprehensive and there may be other duties as assigned.
Core Responsibilities- High school diploma (minimum)
- Satisfactory BCI and FBI background checks
- Ability to pass written and computer exams or Satisfactory completion of job performance assessments
- Prior clerical experience, preferably in an educational setting
- Ability to work with NEOnet databases, Google Workspace and Final Forms
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Professional communication with staff, parents, and students
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- High level of professionalism and discretion
Office setting within an elementary school building. Must be able to perform responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Working Conditions- Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue
- Occasional interaction with unruly children
- Occasional exposure to temperatures above 100°F and below 32°F
- Noise level frequently loud, requiring raised voice to be heard
- Physical activity involving use of arms and legs
