Certification/Licensure
Required:
* Current Adolescence to Young Adults 7-12 License with an Integrated Language Arts Teaching Field issued and recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
Preferences:
* Experience in a high school classroom environment in the following courses: ELA 11, Honors ELA 11, ELA 12, Business Communications, and Journalism;
* Strong and sufficient competencies in instructional content, technology, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
* Thorough knowledge, understanding, and appreciation for the learning process and the nature and growth of children;
* Ability to adapt knowledge of educational methodology and variety of instructional techniques for the benefit of students in the learning environment; competence in the structure and content of the subject area;
* Ability to communicate with students and caregivers in the appropriate manner;
* Ability to work collaboratively and productively with other staff members, students, and administration;
* Successful completion of a BCI and FBI background check as well as a drug screen.
