One of our manufacturing clients is looking for Tool & Die Maker for their facility at Akron, OH location.
Shift - 1st shift Days (6.30 am to 4 pm)
Responsibilities- Design, build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tools used in production
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to manufacture precision tooling
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM, etc.)
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment
- Troubleshoot tooling issues, perform repairs and modifications
, and support production to minimize downtime - Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and dies to ensure consistent quality and extended tool life
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tool improvements, new tool builds, and process optimization
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience preferred in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
