Maximize utilization of Stamping department by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the stamping dies. The Tool and Die Operator will be responsible for the production of their associated stamping die, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Falls Stamping and Welding is a Union facility, UAW Local 70.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintains and troubleshoots dies with minimal supervision or direction.
- Troubleshoots die problems with minimal amount of production down time.
- Prioritizes workload to meet the needs of production.
- Performs die changeovers as required.
- Supports and implements continuous tooling improvements on all dies for increased utilization and efficiency.
- Supports and implements continuous process improvements throughout the Stamping department.
- Follows all standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Builds and modifies spare parts as needed.
- Participates in recommendations for die design improvements.
- Participates in problem solving teams.
- Maintains a safe work environment and good housekeeping practices.
- Supports Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and programs actively.
- Understands, supports, contributes to current Falls Stamping Quality and Environmental systems by following stated policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Education and Experience:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence), Journeyman card or equivalent with 2-5 years’ experience. Proficient at all aspects of precision machining and grinding required. Knowledge of press auxiliary equipment, i.e., feeders, sensors, vision, and lube systems. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures, blueprints, and work instructions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Falls Stamping and Welding Company.
