Picture this: you walk into a machining operation that has been building trust since 1945
. The floor hums across 42 machines with plans to add more, and a tight-knit team of about 130 employees counts on your eye for accuracy. That’s where you come in.
As our Quality Inspector
, your day blends hands‑on metrology with meaningful collaboration. You’ll set up and run inspections on CMM and FARO equipment, and when needed, you’ll create or tweak PC-DMIS programs to validate features others might miss. You’ll move from first article to in‑process to final checks, documenting results, surfacing nonconformances, and partnering with machinists to keep parts on spec for aerospace, defense, automotive, and commercial customers.
- Review drawings and job packets; plan your inspection strategy.
- Run first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM, FARO arms, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, V-blocks, and other precision tools.
- Identify and report out-of-spec conditions; support corrective actions with clear, traceable data.
- Capture detailed measurements and observations; generate batch-level inspection reports.
- Keep inspection equipment calibrated and in top condition; help maintain calibration records and schedules.
- Collaborate closely with the machine shop to uphold the highest quality standards—this role exists because we’re growing.
Opportunities exist on 1st and 2nd shifts. Hours are flexible, and overtime is common
—most of the team works 50–60 hours per week
.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
- AS9100 and ISO 9001 experience is required.
- At least 1 year as a Mechanical or Quality Control Inspector in a CNC machine shop or similar manufacturing setting.
- Fluency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specs.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and independent problem solving.
