Material Handler

The Material Handler verifies the receipt and transportation of raw materials and manufactured products to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

Essential Duties:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Performs Logistics Duties by preparing and inspecting all finished goods for shipment according to the appropriate product specifications; planning shipments with proper labeling, packaging, paperwork, and transportation of product according to procedures/specifications; receiving all incoming raw materials according to procedure; properly transporting and storing materials; operating and understanding all required logistics equipment necessary for successful completion of assigned tasks; and safely operating power industrial vehicles
• Maintains Documentation by recording incoming raw materials and finished products, verifying shipment orders and lot identification, accessing and entering Oracle data
• Demonstrates Math Skills by analyzing qualitative data; performing mathematical calculations; working with alphanumeric sequences.
• Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current.
• Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status.
