2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM ($1.75 shift differential)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility systems according to diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

This position works on equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machinery, packaging equipment, and processing equipment. The technician uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to identify problems and complete repairs.

The role also includes observing equipment while it is operating, listening for unusual sounds, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment, and buildings.

Position Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Three to four years of relevant maintenance experience, or a combination of hands‑on experience and relevant classroom training or certifications in industrial manufacturing. Experience should include troubleshooting, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance.

  • Complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting repairs.
  • Operate and understand the equipment needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain production, packaging, and processing equipment through planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Communicate with other departments, management, and employees regarding problems that may affect production efficiency.
  • Install and test new equipment and auxiliary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause of errors or failures.
  • Record equipment service information and labor hours.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
  • Complete work orders on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Analyze data and perform mathematical calculations as needed.
