We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for our client in the Cypress area. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a 6-month contract and bring strong GAAP knowledge, full-cycle accounting experience, and a proactive, self-directed approach. This role requires someone who takes initiative, collaborates well with others, quickly learns new ERP systems, and ensures accuracy and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries and adjusting entries in accordance with GAAP
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Manage cash activity, including cash postings, reconciliations, and cash flow support
- Support month-end close process, working closely with team members to meet reporting deadlines
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through ongoing review and analysis
- Suggest opportunities for process improvements and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, AP/AR, and management as needed
- 6+ years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience working in an ERP environment (SAP, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
- Proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
