Senior Accountant

We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for our client in the Cypress area. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a 6-month contract and bring strong GAAP knowledge, full-cycle accounting experience, and a proactive, self-directed approach. This role requires someone who takes initiative, collaborates well with others, quickly learns new ERP systems, and ensures accuracy and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and post journal entries and adjusting entries in accordance with GAAP
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Manage cash activity, including cash postings, reconciliations, and cash flow support
• Support month-end close process, working closely with team members to meet reporting deadlines
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through ongoing review and analysis
• Suggest opportunities for process improvements and best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, AP/AR, and management as needed

• 6+ years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience working in an ERP environment (SAP, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
• Proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
