Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity

An established global manufacturing and technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This organization offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to gain exposure to a global, public‑company structure.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage inventory reserve including reconciliations, adjustments and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and assisting with audit requests.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams, including operations, to analyze financial data (including inventory).
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month‑end close and general ledger accounting.
• Experience in a public company or supporting publicly traded clients required.
• Exposure to inventory accounting, including reserves and analysis.
• Experience working in a global or multi‑currency environment is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

• Public accounting background.
• ERP experience (JDE, Oracle, or similar).
• Multi‑currency (fx) experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
