Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity:An established global manufacturing and technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This organization offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to gain exposure to a global, public-company structure.

This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, and partnering cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage inventory reserve including reconciliations, adjustments and reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting packages
• Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and assisting with audit requests
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, to analyze financial data (including inventory)
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Experience in a public company or supporting publicly traded clients required
• Exposure to inventory accounting, including reserves and analysis
• Experience working in a global or multi-currency environment is a plus
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills

• Public accounting background
• ERP experience (JDE, Oracle, or similar)
• Multi-Currency (fx) experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
