Job Description and

Offer:

Admin/data entry technician for a food testing laboratory. Offer is 3 to 5 days per week with an opportunity to transition to full-time (8hr, 5 days/week) with excellent performance.

• Administrative duties, including answering phone calls, corresponding with clients via email, filing, preparing outgoing orders, etc.
• Reconcile incoming samples against documents from the client, ensuring sample request information is complete.
• Follow all standard operating procedures for chain of custody, sample management and client services, including proper documentation of temperatures and identifying missing information.
• Accurately and efficiently enter sample descriptions and tests into the laboratory information management system (LIMS).
• Perform detailed quality control checks on all samples in the LIMS system. We strive for 100% accuracy, free of testing/typographical errors.
• Ideal candidates would have a strong attention to detail and a get the job done attitude.
• Other duties as necessary.

• Strong computer/typing skills (at least 40-50 words per minute).
• Strong attention to detail and good organization skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work between the hours of 10am-8pm weekdays and possibly weekends.
• Must have punctual and reliable attendance.
• Clean background check—no criminal convictions.

• Pay rate is $18-$20 per hour, depending on qualifications.
