Professional Search Group OC is partnering with a highly respected defense research and development organization to identify a temporary Receptionist to support their Cypress, CA location. Professional Search Group OC is partnering with world-class technology enterprise focused on developing innovative solutions for both commercial and government customers, working alongside engineers, physicists, and technical experts on long-standing and emerging programs.
This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while providing day-to-day administrative and office support. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and welcoming, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
This position is temporary and will start right away.
- Greet, check in, and direct visitors in accordance with established visitor protocols
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and assist callers as needed
- Manage mail distribution, shipping, and receiving; deliver packages throughout the office
- Escort visitors and guests as required
- Provide administrative and clerical support to leadership and assigned teams, including document preparation, copying, scanning, filing, and general office support
- Assist with coordinating and supporting on-site meetings and division-sponsored events, including room setup, signage, and catering coordination
- Support purchase requisitions and administrative requests as needed
- Maintain office, breakroom, and supply inventories; ensure supply areas are organized and stocked
- Keep common areas tidy and organized
- Perform additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned
Receptionist Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or office support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 45 lbs
- Ability to work in a professional, indoor office environment
