Varies, may include days, evenings, hybrid/online, and dual enrollment program - Salary: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1,258.16 – $1,380.60 per lab unit rate
Essential Functions
- Teach photography courses as scheduled, including day, evening, hybrid/online, and dual enrollment courses
- Prepare and develop course materials, lessons, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
- Adhere to safety and campus policies for laboratory instruction
- Provide feedback and evaluations on student progress and performance
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in photography, fine arts, or art
- OR Bachelor’s degree in one of the above plus a Master’s in art history or humanities
- OR valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
- All degrees and coursework must be verifiable on a legible transcript
- Commitment to diversity; demonstrated sensitivity and understanding of diverse student backgrounds
Desirable Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in supporting arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities
