Communication Studies Instructor Pool – Part‑Time

This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part‑time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as‑needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part‑time faculty.

Qualifications
  • Minimum qualifications: Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English OR possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area OR the equivalent.

  • Experience teaching and mentoring historically and socially minoritized/marginalized communities such as African‑American/Black, Chicanx/Latinx, Pacific Islander, Native American, women, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities.
