Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration
- OR Bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis, business administration with accounting emphasis, or economics with an accounting emphasis plus a Master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance or equivalent
- OR a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject area
- OR equivalent qualifications including related education, training, employment and professional experience as determined by the District Equivalency Committee
- Commitment to diversity: demonstrated sensitivity to students’ diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience teaching introductory accounting courses using interactive instructional practices that promote student engagement, success, and retention
- Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices to better support historically underrepresented and marginalized students, including students with disabilities, with the goal of advancing equity and closing achievement gaps
