May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online, and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus‑based training.
Essential FunctionsGrade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. All degrees and coursework used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. Evaluations of foreign degrees and/or coursework are required.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history, or Bachelor’s in any of the above
- AND Master’s in humanities, or Bachelor’s in humanities, or a relevant degree
- OR a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area (or equivalent)
- Commitment to diversity and demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student populations
- Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, non‑traditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities
- Experience, training, and/or knowledge of diverse groups that assists in achieving the goals of this position
