Job Description

NOCCCD is now accepting applications for Accounting Instructor at Cypress College.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration.
  • Bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance or the equivalent.
  • Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.
  • The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
  • (

    NOTE:

    A bachelor’s degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, with a CPA license is an alternative qualification for this discipline.)

Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience teaching accounting courses, particularly introductory-level classes, using interactive instructional practices that promote student engagement, success, and retention.
  • Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices to better support historically underrepresented and marginalized students, including students with disabilities, with the goal of advancing equity and closing achievement gaps.
Salary Range

$1572.67 – $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 – $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 – $1380.60 per lab unit rate.
