Principal Electrical Engineer (Mixed-Signal and Analog)

Do you have experience working in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in mixed-signal and analog circuit analysis and design?
The position is Onsite in lab with our client in Cypress, CA. The preference is long-term contract, or contract-to-direct, but for the right individual the client will offer a direct salaried position from day one. 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities- Define, architect, design, implement, and integrate mixed signal and/or analog circuits in high-reliability electronics.
- Develop low noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies for imaging sensors.
- Capture schematics and supervise PCB layout (preferably Cadence Allegro).
- Perform circuit level and board level simulations to verify functionality and performance goals.
- Debug hardware and integrate using standard test equipment including oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, etc.
- Create documentation such as board specifications, user guides, test reports, and design review presentations.
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status.
- Ensure completion of assigned tasks on time and meeting technical requirements.
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Pay: $75.00/hr – $85.00/hr

Contract (6 months – 1 year)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in mixed-signal and analog circuit analysis and design (including Space‑DoD or Commercial experience).
- Minimum 10 years of experience completing mixed-signal and analog designs, using ICs such as Op‑Amps, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, switching regulators, and motor drivers.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing and troubleshooting high‑speed video applications.
- An active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in analog circuit design.
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing electronics for space applications.
- Hands‑on experience in EO/IR technology and cryogenic systems.
- Familiarity with DoD, NASA, and relevant industry standards.
- Ability to solve problems at circuit and system levels.
- Ability to execute large group and customer presentations.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret/Top Secret/etc. DoD security clearance.
