Overview

Job Summary
Mercury Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to assist in the development of the next generation of Mercury’s edge processing solutions. You will support Mixed Signal and Electronic Warfare product lines, RF Systems, embedded systems, and Space programs. You’ll work in a matrix organization on multi-disciplinary engineering teams while collaborating with program management, operations, and leadership to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Translate stakeholder needs into operational concept development, functional/physical architecture definition, requirements development, interface definition, verification and validation, technical baseline management, and transition to production.
  • Execute Systems Engineering activities as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) throughout the complete program lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with program management, operations, and leadership to ensure customer requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Science degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.
  • Typically requires 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience with requirements, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience with RF and Mixed Signal, ADC and DAC, heterogeneous (FPGA and SoC) processing applications.
  • Experience translating stakeholder needs into operational concepts, architecture definitions, requirements development, interface definition, verification and validation, technical baseline management, and transition to production.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering execution as part of an IPT throughout the complete program lifecycle.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • This position requires you to have or be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) at time of application.
  • Design experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with high-performance RF and digital processing solutions as applied to radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Applied experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, with Cameo Enterprise Architect and SysML modeling.
  • Experience with Jama, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket.
Security and Compliance

This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. This position also requires access to information subject to U.S. export regulations, and you may access such information if you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. government.

Compensation

and Benefits

Full-time equivalent job grade salary and benefits include:

  • $75,000.00 - $ annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees.
  • $84,000.00 - $ annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA.
  • $88,500.00 - $ annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ.
  • Mercury considers factors such as role and responsibilities, experience, education and certifications, internal equity, location, and market data in determining base salary offers.

Team members at Director or Vice President level may be eligible for annual stock-based awards. Mercury offers a 9/80 alternative work schedule (location dependent).
