As a Manufacturing Engineer for Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC), you will provide technical support to operations and execute manufacturing engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and lead time (SQCD).

• Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems and/or methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time.
• Maintain and/or govern Production Technical Packages (technical instructions, programs, SOPs, PFMEAs, etc) for all parts which clearly define the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
• Promote a culture of zero defects, ensure processes and methods are developed and deployed to support Right First Time manufacturing, and drive improvements with utilization of RRPS, DMAIC and Systems Engineering tools.
• Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required.
• Responsible for self‑development to meet the required competencies for the role and continuously seeking to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities.

• Associate degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 1+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience.
• Master's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering.
• JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree.
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

• Experience with the manufacture of Composites or Aerospace Components with coating operations.
• Tooling/fixture design and prototyping for manufacture.
• Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.) relevant to the business.
• Experience with Method Verification Approval process steps and considerations needed to complete equivalent or better fixed process changes.
• Proficiency in using statistical tools to assess process performance against specification limits and identify variations.
• Understanding of process capability analysis, including the ability to calculate and interpret key metrics such as Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk.
