Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple concurrent projects and programs of medium to high complexity. This role applies advanced project management principles across the full project lifecycle to ensure delivery within defined scope, schedule, and budget. A strong focus on proactive risk identification and mitigation is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, project teams, and key stakeholders.

The Senior Project Manager also provides mentorship and leadership to Project Managers, supporting consistent delivery practices and process maturity.

Job Function Project Management & Delivery Excellence
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex IT and business initiatives using Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies, selecting the most appropriate approach based on project needs.
  • Apply advanced project management principles, tools, and best practices to plan, budget, schedule, execute, monitor, and close projects.
  • Deliver multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, governance standards, and IT roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management methodologies, delivery processes, and documentation standards.
Enterprise Technology Delivery
  • Manage delivery of projects across a broad IT landscape, including but not limited to:
    • ERP implementations and upgrades.
    • Data strategy, data platforms, analytics, and execution initiatives.
    • Bolt‑on and third‑party applications.
    • Infrastructure, cloud, and platform services.
    • Cybersecurity and risk‑related initiatives.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure technical solutions meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
Project Leadership & Team Management
  • Provide strong leadership to cross‑functional, matrixed teams including internal staff, vendors, and consultants.
  • Empower and motivate team members through clear expectations, shared accountability, and transparent communication.
  • Serve as a role model for ownership, professionalism, and results‑driven execution.
Resource & Capacity Management
  • Identify project resource needs and constraints in collaboration with functional leaders.
  • Support resource allocation, capacity planning, and demand management across multiple initiatives.
Project Planning & Execution Management
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, work breakdown structures, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Define milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, status reports, and dashboards.
  • Lead project meetings, coordinate activities, assign tasks, and track action items.
  • Plan and execute go‑live, cutover, and post‑implementation support activities.
Project Lifecycle, Financial & Governance Management
  • Manage projects from initiation through closure, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, business cases, and stage‑gate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project and resource data in the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to build budgets, manage forecasts, and track financial performance.
