In partnership with OEMs, we utilize innovative, proprietary high‑speed electric motor‑generator technologies to develop next‑generation, power‑dense and energy‑efficient products that reduce energy consumption, harmful emissions, and enhance energy security. The role of the “Rotor Assembly Production Technician” is to assemble motor rotors per customer/company drawing specifications and/or work instructions.
- Assembly of magnet blocks used for rotor shafts
- Assembly of magnets onto rotor shafts
- Magnetization of rotors and magnets
- Assembly rotor magnetic bearing components on rotor shafts
- Assembly rotor metal sleeves onto rotor hubs
- Assembly rotor composite sleeves onto rotor hubs
- Perform in‑process inspection of assembled rotors
- Maintain materials used for rotor assemblies (e.g., adhesives)
- Maintain tooling utilized for rotor assemblies
- Ability to follow detailed instructions as outlined by production work orders, work instructions, and drawings
- Prior manufacturing/production experience with shop equipment such as caliper, micrometer, weighing scales, hydraulic presses, basic hand tools, conventional lathe, conventional mill, drill press, band saw, and sanders
- Able to use a computer with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

- Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds may be required
- Make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism (e.g., operating dials or pedals)
- Coordinate the movement of more than one limb simultaneously (e.g., operating the milling table vertically and horizontally)
- Flexible work schedule; available as determined by changes in customer demand, to adjust shift start/end times and work overtime as necessary
$20 - $25 per hour
