Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead day‑to‑day operations within the fabrication department, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Oversee hands‑on fabrication work tied to retail displays, branded environments, trade‑show exhibits, dimensional graphics, and specialty fabrication projects.
- Manage workflow, production schedules, priorities, staffing needs, and shop floor execution.
- Support fabrication across materials and processes that may include wood, metal, acrylic, plastics, dimensional graphics, CNC routing, assembly, finishing, and related production methods.
- Ensure quality standards are met across all custom fabrication and display projects.
- Partner with internal teams on project planning, design intent, production feasibility, timelines, materials, and installation needs.
- Train, mentor, and lead fabrication team members while promoting accountability, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Identify process improvements that support faster turnaround, stronger quality control, better resource planning, and scalable department growth.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient fabrication environment.
- Troubleshoot production challenges, material issues, build concerns, and project constraints in real time.
- Help ensure final deliverables meet client expectations, brand standards, and project specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school, technical training, or related fabrication experience preferred.
- Minimum TBD years of fabrication, production, shop leadership, or custom display manufacturing experience.
- Experience or strong background in custom fabrication, retail displays, branded environments, trade‑show exhibits, dimensional graphics, specialty builds, and hands‑on shop operations.
- Strong background working with fabrication materials and processes such as wood, metal, acrylic, plastics, CNC routing, assembly, finishing, large‑format graphics, and dimensional display production.
- Proven ability to lead fabrication teams, manage shop workflow, prioritize projects, and deliver high‑quality work under deadlines.
- Ability to interpret drawings, production specs, design intent, measurements, and project requirements.
- Strong understanding of quality control, shop safety, production planning, and hands‑on problem solving.
- Ability to partner cross‑functionally with design, production, fulfillment, installation, project management, and leadership teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced custom fabrication environment supporting national brands, retailers, events, and trade shows.
