Position Summary:

The second shift Manufacturing Services Technician will perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable of use when required.

What you will be doing:
  • Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance and analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
  • Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of key performance indicators for the manufacturing services department as required.
  • Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the electrical installation / maintenance strategy.
  • Coordinate their activities with production staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with production leaders, team leaders, and production operators.
  • Work alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required and consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard.
  • Support the effective induction of new team members and support cross-training of other team members.
  • Utilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.
  • Able to process Work Orders and pull reports from the computerised maintenance management system and safely operate site specific equipment as require med with appropriate training.
Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or GED (General Educational Development)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, Excel, and Outlook)
Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience working with industrial vacuum systems.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with team assistance for heavier loads
